Larkspur
William Morris (1834 -1896) was a successful, remarkably versatile British artist. He worked in painting, architecture, poetry and arts and crafts and was one of the founders of the Arts and Craft Movement. At the time of industrial mass production, this movement stood for an emphasis on handcrafted production and simplicity in design, form and material. Morris has designed numerous hand-painted patterns for fabrics, carpets and wallpaper, among other things.
