This picture is part of Christian’s series ‘Flora & Fauna’, which is inspired by the illustrated pages of old encyclopedias, among other things. The simple graphics work with outlines and are also reminiscent of old handcut silhouettes. The modern abstraction emphasizes the beautiful natural forms.
