Watanabe Seitei: <\/a><\/strong>“Egrets in a Tree at Night”<\/div>\n

Watanabe Seitei (\u6e21\u8fba\u7701\u4ead, 1851 \u2013 1918), also known as Watanabe Sh\u014dtei, was a Japanese Nihonga painter. Seitei combined Western realism with the delicate colors and wash techniques of the Kikuchi Y\u014dsai school.<\/p>\n

In these drawings, the impressive juxtaposition of almost photorealistic details, often emerging as if from a delicate mist, and the untreated silk canvas unfolds a particularly impactful radiance.<\/p>\n
