The encyclopedia contains 100 illustrated plates depicting various organisms, many of which were described by Haeckel for the first time. The artistic execution of the figures was carried out by the lithographer and print shop owner Adolf Giltsch after Haeckel’s hand drawings.<\/p>\n

These magnificent pictures show ‘art forms of nature’ in balanced, often symmetrical compositions. These are often rich in saturated colors or even fine monochrome tones and at the same time have a graphic – somewhat abstract – and yet fantastic opulence.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We find that this timeless, graphic quality is particularly emphasized by the frameless cropping of the images. Our choice would be a (black) frame with a really narrow profile.
\nIn addition, we also offer this Xeuxis edition as acrylic glass prints, which are made for completely frameless hanging. The price includes an invisible holder that makes the glass prints appear to float on the wall.<\/p>\n
